MM’s Bunny Café: The First Rabbit Themed Cafe in the Philippines
This korean-inspired cafe, Traveloka’s top 10 of the must-dine resto in Bacolod City and the first ever rabbit themed cafe in the Philippines is own by a not-so-good (haha) tumblr friend of mine, Michael. I do not want to say much about him because I know he’s such a good person and he deserves all the blessings.
MM’s Bunny Cafe is where you can pet and play real live bunnies. Trust me, this is worth visiting in Bacolod City. When I got the chance to have a trip in Bacolod, the first thing I had in mind is to visit this place because I haven’t petted a bunny my whole life and I wouldn’t miss any of that.
I’m lucky to have tumblr friends from Bacolod who toured me around and I’m so happy that I get to see beauty of the city with them for the first time.
First, let’s talk about the cafe.
Well it’s tiny. (Bok, expand kana! HAHA) I think it has only three tables inside and I remember one table outside, but every corner of this place is filled with rabbit-themed merchandise, bunny trophies and awards, and some cute korean stuff. Your korean heart will be happy.
Most of their customers are wearing bunny ears because when you arrive in the cafe, the staff welcomes you with a bunny ears headband to match the theme of the cafe. Oh and the colourful crates behind me are one of its most instagrammable place inside. Although I admit the whole place is decoratively beautiful and letting their customers wear this headband is a pretty strong way of promoting the place.
Now, let’s talk about food!
They serve korean food!
We get to try some of their specialty which is the Korean Ramyeon with egg and cheese. If you have tried Samyang noodles, this is pretty close to it in terms of spiciness. But people who are not into spicy foods should make this an exception if you visit the cafe. It tastes really good!
This cake is free of charge. (Almost everything we ate are free haha because of the blogger privilege. LOL!) We went there and it was their first month cafe celebration that’s why we got it for free.
AND THE MOST EXCITING AND FUN THING TO DO AT MM’S BUNNY CAFE IS PETTING BUNNIES
Here’s a fact! It’s amazing how tiny this cafe is. But what’s even more amazing is that it doesn’t smell bad in there. It’s really really clean and pleasant. I have to commend them for that! I also love how they prioritize the welfare of the bunnies that’s why you get to pet a bunny in a limited time only. But we were petting one in like forever (again blogger privilege hahahaha)
I have to say that this rabbit themed cafe deserves all the publishing ad promotion and awards that it has achieved so far. This is really worth a visit when you’re in Bacolod City especially to those who are animal lovers.
It was my first time to get close to a rabbit and to actually pet one of them. An amazing experience for me that I would look forward on doing again. They are like a toy pup but the smallest kind. Also, I couldn’t take my eyes off of its nose because it’s funny that they’re wiggling it the whole time hahaha it’s soooo cute!
When you do have the chance to be in the City of Smile, don’t forget to drop by at MM’s Bunny Cafe, the first Rabbit-Themed Cafe in the Philippines, inspired by South Korea’s Bunny Cafe located at #42 Ramylu Drive, Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City, Philippines.
